🤖 The secret to creating the next billion-dollar AI startup »»

A lot of people dismiss “personal brands”. They don’t get it.

Despite the name, building a “personal brand” isn't purely about individual gain

When done well, a strong personal or “founder brand” can boost an entire company

The logic is as simple as it is profound:

Founders/senior execs posting serious knowledge in an engaging way attract attention

Good personal content has a halo effect on that person’s company, helping pique the interest of top talent, investors, and clients that may not have otherwise known about this firm

This creates a flywheel: strong personal brands help grow businesses which, in turn, further strengthens the personal brand

What’s good for the person is good for the company

Seen this way, it’s not selfish to self promote

It actually might be selfish not to

“Thanks so much - I've had a first read and it's excellent. I'd love to go through it with you in more detail next week.”

👋 I’m Jon. Thanks for being one of thousands of subscribers here for my mix of brand, tech, travel, luxury, and culture news. I love researching and writing this email and hope you enjoy reading it.

In my day job as a copywriter, creative director, and agency founder, I help B2B businesses create high quality content.

We don’t use templated decks based on tired frameworks, like some consultancies do. Instead, we deliver custom, detailed (and really enjoyable to read!) strategic and creative docs of about 5 to 25 pages. They get to the heart of your brand’s issues, analyze any data you’ve given us, and offer clear, actionable advice and language you can use right away.

We love writing them and our clients love reading them. (See feedback above.)

If your brand wants a clearer, louder voice, book a chat. fv/ can help you with LinkedIn, content marketing, audience segmentation, or messaging —in a fun, engaging way. Get a brainstorm in the calendar today »»
